Doosan Group Delivers 'Love Tea (Cha)' to Frontline Military Units... 31st Year This Year
[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Hyewon] Doosan Group announced on the 8th that it delivered 80,000 cups of "Love Tea" and monetary gifts to the Baekdusan Unit (Army 21st Division) located in Yanggu-gun, Gangwon-do.
The Love Tea Sharing program is Doosan's social contribution initiative to bring warmth to soldiers serving at the front lines during the cold winter. It has been ongoing for 31 years since 1991, and the total number of tea cups delivered to date exceeds 40 million. Recently, reflecting soldiers' preferences, the program has diversified the types of tea provided, including not only instant coffee (coffee mix) but various kinds of tea.
In addition, Doosan has continued various support activities for military units. In 2010, it established a barracks library, and in 2016 and 2018, it donated Doosan Bobcat equipment and attachments to assist soldiers with snow removal work.
