Korea Toyota Holds 'Firefighter Safety and Rescue Seminar' with the National Fire Agency
[Asia Economy Reporter Changhwan Lee] Toyota Motor Korea announced on the 6th that it conducted the '2021 Firefighter Safety and Rescue Seminar' over two days, on the 2nd and 3rd, at the Central Fire Academy located in Gongju-si, Chungcheongnam-do, in cooperation with the National Fire Agency.
This special training was planned to enhance the safety of firefighters engaged in rescue activities during electric vehicle fires and to strengthen their fire response capabilities.
The seminar included theoretical education on the rescue principles of various electrified vehicles such as Hybrid Electric Vehicles (HEV), Plug-in Hybrid Electric Vehicles (PHEV), Fuel Cell Electric Vehicles (FCEV), and Battery Electric Vehicles (BEV), safety measures including power and high-voltage cutoff methods during accidents, and fire extinguishing techniques, along with practical rescue training using actual Toyota and Lexus vehicles.
