Saemaeul Geumgo Central Association Selected as '2021 Community Contribution Recognized Institution'
[Asia Economy Reporter Song Seung-seop] Saemaeul Geumgo Central Association announced on the 1st that it has been selected as a ‘2021 Community Contribution Recognized Institution.’
The Community Contribution Recognition System is a program that acknowledges organizations that have established partnerships with local nonprofit organizations and have consistently carried out community contribution activities. It is jointly hosted by the Ministry of Health and Welfare and the Korea National Council on Social Welfare.
Saemaeul Geumgo Central Association is known to have scored high in the areas of ‘environmental management,’ ‘volunteering,’ and ‘nonprofit organization networks.’ Through the Green MG campaign, it achieved a carbon emission reduction effect of 217,614 Kg, earning high marks in environmental management. Additionally, the association conducted a total of 2,188 hours of volunteer activities over one year with the participation of its executives and employees, and supported vulnerable groups and nonprofit organizations with 4 billion KRW in project funds.
