Shinhyup and KT Launch 'Gumi Sarang Card'... "Use Local Gift Certificates Conveniently"
[Asia Economy Reporter Song Seung-seop] The National Credit Union Federation of Korea announced on the 1st that it has launched the Gumi Sarang Card in collaboration with KT.
The ShinHyup Gumi Sarang Card is a card-type local gift certificate that can be used at affiliated stores within Gumi City. It can be applied for after signing up as a member of KT's 'Good Pay' application (app).
This card was developed by the two organizations to enhance the convenience of using local currency and to promote increased consumption within the region.
The individual purchase limit is 400,000 KRW per month, and it can be purchased at a 6% discounted rate within an annual limit of 4,000,000 KRW. During periods designated by Gumi City, there is also a benefit to purchase at a 10% discounted rate.

The charged amount can be used at local currency affiliated stores, and once depleted, it can be used like a regular check card within the balance of the card payment account.
