Punggi Ginseng Agricultural Cooperative in Yeongju, Gyeongbuk, donated 100 million won to the Yeongju World Punggi Ginseng Expo Organizing Committee to support the successful hosting of the Expo.

The 2022 Yeongju World Punggi Ginseng Expo will be held under the theme "Ginseng, Embracing the World and Opening the Future!" from September 30 to October 23 for 24 days at the Punggi Ginseng Culture Pop-up Park area in Yeongju, Gyeongbuk.
The donation ceremony was attended by Jang Wook-hyun, Mayor of Yeongju, Kwon Heon-jun, Chairman of the Punggi Ginseng Agricultural Cooperative, and officials from the Expo Organizing Committee. The sponsorship funds will be used for the operation costs of the Expo events.
The Punggi Ginseng Agricultural Cooperative is responsible for and manages the entire process from cultivation, purchase, manufacturing, processing, to distribution of ginseng, the raw material for red ginseng products, enhancing consumer satisfaction and promoting the excellence of Punggi ginseng.
Chairman Kwon Heon-jun said, "I hope this will contribute even a little to the hosting of the Expo, and we will put more effort into promoting the Expo."
Jang Wook-hyun, Director of the Organizing Committee, said, "The donation will further raise the enthusiasm for the Expo," and "We expect growing interest and support for the Yeongju World Punggi Ginseng Expo."
