Korean Institute of Certified Public Accountants Conducts Accounting Education for 1st Year Middle School Students
[Asia Economy Reporter Park Jihwan] The Korean Institute of Certified Public Accountants announced on the 30th that from last month until December this year, it will conduct accounting education linked to the middle school free semester system for 250 first-year students at seven middle schools located in Seoul (Gajaeul Middle School, Siheung Middle School, Sindobong Middle School, Shinseo Middle School, Inchang Middle School, Jungang Middle School, Hanyeong Middle School).
This education program, titled "Accounting and the Future" with certified public accountants, involves CPAs visiting classrooms to give special lectures. A representative from the Institute stated, "Through education that helps understand the concept and basics of accounting, we expect to raise awareness of the value and importance of accounting and increase interest in the CPA profession."

The program was conducted in November at five schools including Inchang Middle School (Gajaeul Middle School, Siheung Middle School, Sindobong Middle School, Hanyeong Middle School). In December, it will be held at Shinseo Middle School (13th) and Jungang Middle School (14th, 15th).
