[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Bo-kyung] Wemakeprice is establishing a quality verification system for online food curation.
On the 29th, Wemakeprice announced that it will introduce a three-step verification system for all foods listed in its food specialty curation service 'MatSinseon'.
All foods curated by MatSinseon undergo a three-step verification system that selects based on taste, quality, hygiene, and price. In the first step, the suitability judgment meeting, MatSinseon product planners (MDs) initially review products by checking essential information such as the presence of HACCP, price, origin, and composition to verify whether they meet MatSinseon's objective standards.
Products that pass this stage proceed to the second step, a blind taste verification test called the demand tasting meeting. Every Wednesday, all MatSinseon MDs gather to evaluate and compare the food based on 20 criteria including taste, seasoning, packaging condition, quantity, and cooking method. To pass, the product must receive an average score of 3 or higher out of 4 from all MDs.
The final third step is on-site verification. MDs visit the manufacturing sites directly to confirm, based on about 30 criteria, that the products are produced in a safe and hygienic environment.
Among the foods that pass the three-step verification system, the single product that receives the highest score in each category is selected as the best food and introduced through the 'Life Food' special exhibition. In the Life Food exhibition, Namhyang Food's burrito, which scored the highest among burrito products, is selected as the 'Life Burrito' and sold at a 61% discount for 2,900 won. On the 1st of next month, the 'Life Cheese Stick' will be introduced, followed by the 'Life Seasoned Pork Neck' on the 8th.
