Jeju Coast Guard Urgently Transports 50s Island Resident Complaining of Abdominal Pain at Midnight
[Jeju=Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Hwang Jeongpil] On the night of the 27th, an emergency patient who was unable to move due to abdominal pain was rescued by the Jeju Coast Guard on Hoenggando, Chuja-myeon, Jeju City.
According to the Jeju Maritime Police Station on the 29th, at around 9:35 p.m. on the 27th, Mr. A (male/50s), residing on Hoenggando, Chuja-myeon, Jeju City, was transported to the Chuja Health Center by local government staff due to severe abdominal pain.
In addition to the abdominal pain, it was reported that due to a chronic illness he usually suffers from, he was unable to move, and transportation to a large hospital in the city was necessary.
Accordingly, the Jeju Coast Guard urgently dispatched a 500-ton patrol vessel that was patrolling the surrounding waters.
At around 11:45 p.m., the emergency patient Mr. A was boarded onto the coastal rescue boat of the Chuja Police Substation, departing from Shinyang Port, Chuja-myeon, and at around 11:55 p.m., he was transferred to the 500-ton patrol vessel waiting in nearby waters and transported at full speed.
At around 1:30 a.m. on the 28th, the vessel arrived at Jeju Port, and the patient was safely handed over to a 119 ambulance waiting on site.
Meanwhile, this year, the Jeju Coast Guard has safely transported a total of 41 emergency patients, including 29 patients from Chuja Island, using patrol vessels and other means.
