Jeon Jongsung Appointed as New Vice President of Korea Electrical Safety Corporation
[Sejong=Asia Economy Reporter Haeyoung Kwon] Korea Electrical Safety Corporation announced on the 29th that Jeon Jongseong, former head of the Development Support Team 2 of the Economic Free Zone Planning Division at the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy, has been appointed as the new Vice President.
The new Vice President Jeon was born in 1962 in Boseong, Jeonnam, graduated from Seoul National University with a degree in Electrical Engineering, and earned master's degrees in Public Policy from the Korea Development Institute (KDI) and in Law from the University of Washington in the United States. He entered public service through the 33rd Technical Examination and has accumulated practical field and policy management experience in various ministries including the Korean Intellectual Property Office, Ministry of Information and Communication, Ministry of Knowledge Economy, Defense Acquisition Program Administration, Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and Ministry of Industry.
Vice President Jeon exchanged greetings with executives and employees at the headquarters in Jeonbuk Innovation City on the day and began his official two-year term.

The corporation stated, "Vice President Jeon has achieved numerous accomplishments in areas such as industrial technology support, restructuring of regional research and development (R&D) systems, and external cooperation including trade and commerce." It added, "We expect him to play a significant role in advancing current priority projects such as improving safety policy systems, establishing remote real-time inspection systems, and building research verification complexes, leveraging his achievements and experience as assets."
