IEL Science Supplies Virus-Sterilizing UVC LED to Japanese Hotels... "Supply Contract Continues"
[Asia Economy Reporter Hyunseok Yoo] Smart optical solutions company IL Science announced on the 29th that it will supply UVC LED products to a Japanese hotel corporation through its affiliate, IoT (Internet of Things) specialist IL Kennus.
The UVC (Ultraviolet C) LED (light-emitting diode) independently developed by IL Science was proven to have excellent sterilization power last June by the Korea Conformity Laboratories, a nationally accredited testing and inspection agency. When the product was irradiated with 275nm UVC light at a distance of 60cm for 10 minutes, it was confirmed that 99.9% of viruses and bacteria were sterilized.
As the COVID-19 virus pandemic prolongs, demand for hygiene and sterilization products is explosively increasing. IL Science’s UVC LED has been applied to major construction companies’ apartment complexes, restrooms within Byeonsanbando National Park, and elevators in Vietnam. Along with the contracted Japanese hotel corporation, it is currently attracting interest from various industries.
Additionally, in October last month, IL Science jointly filed and obtained a patent for an IoT system using a 2-Way UV-C sterilization LED with Hyundai Construction Co., Ltd.
