Gyeonggi Office of Education to Hold 'Parents-Teachers Grand Debate' on the 30th
[Asia Economy (Suwon) = Reporter Lee Young-gyu] The Gyeonggi Provincial Office of Education will hold a large-scale parent-teacher educational community forum on the 30th to promote parental participation in schools.
This event is an opportunity to present the results of the Parent School Participation Activation Working Group (consultative group), which has researched and developed field-centered parent policies over the past eight months.
The forum, subtitled "Singing the Song of Parental School Participation," will proceed with presentations and discussions on four thematic areas: ▲ Parent-Teacher Communication and Empathy Program ▲ Online Content Development ▲ Parent Association Formation and Operation Manual ▲ Parent Association Consulting Manual.
Participants include parent members and teachers from the working group. The forum will be broadcast live online, and anyone can participate directly in the discussion.

Jung Su-ho, Director of the Parent-Citizen Cooperation Division at the Gyeonggi Office of Education, stated, "Parents, as one of the three main stakeholders in education along with teachers and students, can enhance school education through their educational partnership." He added, "We expect this large forum to play a significant role in revitalizing school autonomy based on participation and cooperation."
