[Asia Economy Reporter Jongil Park] On the 27th at 1 PM, Oh Seung-rok, Mayor of Nowon District, attended the '1st Wolgye-dong Filial Love Festival' held at Seokgye Station Cultural Park.
This event was held to create a space for community revitalization and resident harmony by providing a festival where the elderly and local residents of Wolgye-dong could come together.
The day's program included a performance by the Korean Gugak Education Center Art Troupe, introduction of guests, congratulatory speeches, a resident singing contest, and gift presentations to the elderly.
Meanwhile, to prevent COVID-19, hand sanitizers were placed at both entrances of the venue, and volunteers conducted temperature checks. Attendees were also urged to wear personal masks and maintain social distancing in accordance with daily quarantine guidelines.

Mayor Oh Seung-rok said, “There have been many changes in the Wolgye-dong area, such as the opening of the Yeongchuksan hiking trail and the development of the Kwangwoon University station area,” adding, “I hope today's event helps heal the weary hearts from COVID-19 and that everyone stays healthy.”
