Gwangju Seo-gu to Recruit 185 Participants for Next Year's Disabled Employment Program
[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters, Reporter Shin Dong-ho] Seo-gu, Gwangju Metropolitan City (Mayor Seo Dae-seok) announced on the 26th that it is recruiting ‘participants for next year’s disabled employment project’ to provide jobs for disabled people, a vulnerable group in employment, in order to expand social participation and activate a foundation for independence through income security.
Among the disabled employment projects, full-time and part-time jobs involve supporting administrative tasks at public institutions such as administrative welfare centers or district offices, while participatory jobs involve tasks such as cleaning the environment and guiding disabled parking zones at facilities for the disabled, organizations, and welfare centers.
The scale of next year’s project selection is a total of 185 people, including 47 full-time, 30 part-time, 80 participatory, and 28 linked positions, an increase of 57 compared to this year.
Eligibility for application is unemployed disabled persons aged 18 or older registered under the Disabled Welfare Act residing in Seo-gu, Gwangju.
Disabled persons wishing to participate in the project can visit the administrative welfare center in charge of their address with an ID card and apply by the 3rd of next month.
If selected for the disabled employment project, full-time workers will receive a monthly salary of 1,941,000 KRW, part-time workers 957,000 KRW, and participatory workers 512,000 KRW.
