On the 29th, the Bank of Korea Launches Financial Map... Real-Time Checking of Bank ATM Locations Available
Check Bank ATM Locations via App
Includes Fees, Closure Info, and Accessibility Features
[Asia Economy Reporter Jang Sehee] The Bank of Korea announced on the 28th that it will launch a financial map (Geumyung Daedongyeojido) service from the 29th, allowing users to easily check information such as ATM locations and operating hours via smartphone.
The Bank of Korea explained that the 'Financial Map' was created to provide integrated and up-to-date information on ATM branches across the entire financial sector, including banks, post offices, savings banks, mutual finance, securities firms, and automated device operators.
In addition to basic information such as location and operating hours, the app provides various details including available services, fees, closure information, and support features for the disabled.
Users can also input specific conditions to find ATMs and branches that meet those criteria. For example, it is possible to search for "nearby ATMs accessible by wheelchair" or "scheduled closure dates of previously visited bank branches."
The app can be accessed by downloading the existing 'Account Info app' or 'Mobile Cash Card app' provided by the Korea Financial Telecommunications & Clearings Institute.
