Cowell Fashion, Kim Yujin Promoted to Executive Vice President and Appointed CEO
[Asia Economy Reporter Lim Hye-seon] Cowell Fashion announced on the 26th that Executive Director Kim Yoo-jin has been promoted to Vice President and appointed as CEO.
On the same day, Cowell Fashion carried out executive personnel changes and organizational restructuring for 2022. Cowell Fashion stated, "Vice President Kim Yoo-jin, who led the external growth of the leisure sports and fashion categories, will be appointed as an inside director through the 48th regular shareholders' meeting and will be named co-CEO. We plan to integrate the planning, production, and sales functions of underwear and leisure sports and fashion, which were previously dispersed across various divisions, under Vice President Kim Yoo-jin's direct control to improve efficiency and enhance sales capabilities."
Cowell Fashion also implemented organizational restructuring based on the keywords of strengthening existing business efficiency and new challenges. They established a direct CEO for the home shopping business and a three-division system to continue responsible management through specialized capabilities.
They also announced the establishment of a Brand Business Division. The Brand Business Division will be directly under Chairman Lee Soon-seop and plans to discover new growth engines for the company by securing new brands in addition to cooperating with global partners. As a new organization, they have recruited an external executive-level officer with expertise in managing global brands, and in the future, the division will be composed of professionals with diverse experience in product planning and distribution channel strategy for new brands.
