Shinhan Card Wins '2021 DX Service Award' with Shinhan Play
Recognition of Achievements Combining Digital New Technologies Such as Facial Recognition Payment Service
[Asia Economy Reporter Ki Ha-young] Shinhan Card has become the first in the financial sector to receive the DX Service Award with its lifestyle finance platform 'Shinhan Play,' which leads digital innovation.
Shinhan Card announced on the 26th that it won the World Grand Prix at the 2021 DX Service Awards, jointly hosted by the Korea Standards Association and the Korea Service Management Society.
The DX Service Award is a new service quality evaluation system suitable for the 4th Industrial Revolution and the digital era. It discovers and rewards excellent companies that integrate ICT into overall service management and provide high-quality services to customers through rapid DX (digital transformation, DT).
This award was given in recognition of the differentiated customer experience provided by combining the core competencies of the industry-leading card company with digital new technologies such as the metaverse and facial recognition payment services. In particular, Shinhan Play was newly launched last October, focusing on improving speed, integration, and personalization features, and applied new technology called 'Shake & Slide' (executing payment by shaking the smartphone or using the home screen edge panel).
