Sunchon-si Samsan Library Receives Excellence Award for Disability Services

[Suncheon=Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Lee Hyung-kwon] Suncheon City, Jeollanam-do (Mayor Heo Seok) announced on the 25th that it won the Excellence Award by submitting the case of Samsan Library in the 14th Library Disability Service and Idea Best Practice Contest hosted by the National Library for the Disabled.
Among the excellent disability service cases and ideas applicable to the field, conducted by over 400 public and university libraries nationwide, Suncheon City applied with the theme "Lively Library with Slow Learners" implemented at Samsan Library and won the Excellence Award.
Since 2019, Samsan Library has been providing services for the disabled, such as reading and crafting programs for people with developmental disabilities and a book delivery service for the disabled, receiving positive responses from families of disabled individuals.
