[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Park Jin-hyung] Gwangju Bank (President Song Jong-wook) will operate a winter shelter at 143 branches in the Gwangju, Jeonnam, and metropolitan areas until February 25, 2022, to prepare for the winter cold wave.
Since 2018, the Gwangju Bank winter shelter has been operated annually as a space to escape the cold wind caused by cold waves and heavy snow, serving as a refuge for customers and local residents to spend a safe and healthy winter.
The winter shelter is available to anyone during branch operating hours and will be operated in strict compliance with COVID-19 quarantine guidelines. Additionally, portable hot packs and KF94 masks approved by the Ministry of Food and Drug Safety, essential winter items, will be provided free of charge.
Park Ki-won, Head of Sales Planning at Gwangju Bank, said, “We hope that the Gwangju Bank winter shelter, opened for the healthy winter of local residents, will be a warm refuge where visiting customers and local residents can briefly escape the cold, and we will do our best to protect customers’ health and safety by thoroughly implementing COVID-19 prevention measures.”
