The library concert, held for the second time this year, featured a piano performance by Professor Kim Jeong-ah of Gwangju University's Department of Music and a piano trio concert with the string duo Vin (violinist Park Seung-won and cellist Oh Ji-hee).
The pieces performed were "Autumn, Winter, and Spring" from Piazzolla's "The Four Seasons," known as the legend of tango. The melancholic tango melodies evoke the sentiments of the lonely late autumn.
The Gwangju University Liberal Education Center and Hosim Memorial Library plan to offer various concerts such as book talk concerts every semester for students.
Professor Kim Jeong-ah said, "I will strive to provide students with time and opportunities to envision their dreams and to broaden their understanding of culture and the arts."
Im Hyung-taek, director of Hosim Memorial Library, said, "Our university library will develop various programs that can be enjoyed not only by students and faculty but also by local residents, seeking ways to contribute to the community as a complex cultural space."
