At around 9:16 a.m. on the 24th, a condolence wreath bearing the name of former President Park Geun-hye, who is currently imprisoned, arrived at the funeral hall of former President Jeon. Her wreath was placed alongside those sent by former UN Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon and former President Lee Myung-bak. The funeral hall for former President Jeon is set up at Sinchon Severance Hospital in Seodaemun-gu, Seoul.
However, it was revealed that this wreath was not sent by former President Park. Yoo Young-ha, a lawyer close to Park, stated in an interview with multiple media outlets on the same day, "The wreath sent by former President Park is expected to arrive between 4 and 5 p.m. The wreath that arrived in the morning, we do not know who sent it, but it was not sent by the President." Former President Park, who is imprisoned at Seoul Detention Center, is currently hospitalized and receiving treatment at Samsung Hospital in Gangnam-gu, Seoul.
The wreath from former President Park is expected to arrive around 5 p.m. that day, and the wreath that arrived in the morning has reportedly been removed.
