Joo Kyu-il, Mayor of Jinju, Encourages Immersive Content Game Developers
[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Choi Soon-kyung] On the 24th, Jinju City, Gyeongnam Province, announced that Mayor Cho Gyu-il of Jinju attended the ‘Slash1592 - Indomitable Admiral Yi Sun-sin’ exhibition held at the 100th Anniversary Hall of Gyeongsang National University Chilam Campus.
The content exhibited this time was prepared for the purpose of the Jinju City Cultural Promotion Fund Creative Project Support Program, and interactive content creator Kim Dong-ho, a native of Jinju, was in charge of planning and overall management.
Three game characters representing General Kim Si-min’s childhood, youth, and adulthood were developed, and key scenes from each period were implemented as motion recognition interactive games based on storytelling.

Mayor Cho Gyu-il of Jinju personally demonstrated the game and met with the creator, saying, “Interactive immersive content is definitely good content that allows children to approach Admiral Yi Sun-sin more easily and interestingly,” and added, “I ask for much interest so that good content reflecting Jinju’s unique characteristics can be developed in the future.”
