Imsil-gun Conducts 'Mandatory Training for Eco-friendly Agricultural Product Producers'

[Imsil=Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Park Nosik] Imsil-gun, Jeonbuk (Governor Shim Min) announced on the 24th that it will conduct mandatory education for producers of eco-friendly agricultural products, including 90 eco-friendly certified farms in the area, as well as those wishing to be certified in the future, at the Imsil Nonghyup meeting room on the 26th.

According to the revision of the Eco-friendly Agriculture and Fisheries Act last year, farms producing eco-friendly agricultural products or those wishing to be certified must complete mandatory education related to the eco-friendly certification system once every two years starting from January 1 of last year.

The education will focus on the policy direction of eco-friendly agriculture and compliance requirements for certified farms, explaining the basic principles and philosophy of eco-friendly agriculture to encourage certified farms to continuously produce eco-friendly agricultural products in the future.

Due to the prolonged COVID-19 pandemic, the existing mandatory education was replaced by online education, but the high age of eco-friendly agricultural product certified farms in the area caused difficulties in completing the online education.

The county is actively promoting this education to ensure that those subject to mandatory education do not fail to complete the online education.

Governor Shim Min said, “Although the area is gradually decreasing due to difficulties in continuously producing eco-friendly certification recently, there is hope for the county’s eco-friendly agriculture thanks to the efforts of local eco-friendly agricultural product producers,” and added, “We will promote and actively consider various subsidy projects so that eco-friendly agricultural product producers can manage their farms without burden.”
