The ‘Visiting On-site Civil Service Office’ was established to make it easier for students from other regions residing in the city at Gyeongbuk National University Sangju Campus to apply for dormitory fees and moving-in support funds.
As part of population increase policies, the city provides 200,000 Sangju currency as a moving-in support fund to middle school, high school, and university students six months after they register their move-in.
If the address is maintained, the amount is supported up to 8 times until graduation every 6 months, and if the move-in registration is made to the dormitory, dormitory fees are paid up to 8 times per semester.
The on-site civil service office, which will operate for two weeks from Tuesday to Thursday, will promote the benefits of move-in registration and population increase policies together with the Gyeongbuk National University Sangju Campus Student Council.
Mayor Kang Young-seok said, “I hope students actively participate to receive various moving-in benefits,” and added, “We will continue to implement various policies to increase the population.”
