[Weather] Temperature Drops to Minus 7 Degrees on the 23rd... Heavy Snow Warning Possible in Parts of Gyeonggi and Chungcheong
[Asia Economy Reporter Oh Ju-yeon] Tomorrow morning, temperatures are expected to drop to as low as -7 degrees Celsius, and heavy snowfall is anticipated in some parts of the central region.
The Korea Meteorological Administration (KMA) announced on the 22nd that the minimum temperature on the morning of the 23rd is expected to range from -7 to 5 degrees Celsius, with daytime highs between 2 and 10 degrees Celsius. The KMA stated, "Morning temperatures will fall below -5 degrees Celsius in northern Gyeonggi, inland Gangwon, and mountainous areas, and below 0 degrees Celsius in other central regions and the Gyeongbuk area. Strong winds will blow nationwide, making the perceived temperature even colder."

Occasional rain or snow is expected in southwestern Gyeonggi, the Chungcheong region, Jeolla region, western inland Gyeongsang, and Jeju Island. Precipitation will continue until 6 p.m. in the Jeonnam region and Jeju Island, and from 6 a.m. to 9 a.m. on the 24th in southwestern Gyeonggi, Chungcheong region, Jeonbuk, and western inland Gyeongsang.
In the early morning, heavy snowfall warnings may be issued as significant snow accumulates in southwestern Gyeonggi, northern inland Chungnam, central Chungbuk, eastern Jeonbuk, and mountainous areas of Jeju Island.
Expected snowfall amounts are ▲3 to 10 cm in eastern Jeonbuk ▲2 to 7 cm in southwestern Gyeonggi (Anseong, Pyeongtaek), northern inland Chungnam, central Chungbuk, and mountainous areas of Jeju Island ▲1 to 5 cm in southwestern Gyeonggi (Osan, Hwaseong) and western inland Gyeongnam ▲1 to 3 cm in the Chungcheong region (excluding northern inland Chungnam and central Chungbuk), central inland Jeonbuk, northern Jeonnam, western inland Gyeongbuk, and the five western islands of the Yellow Sea.
