Formation of Land Compensation Council... Full-Scale Compensation Negotiations to Begin in the First Half of Next Year
[Muju=Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Kim Han-ho] Muju County announced on the 22nd that it will form a Land Compensation Council to promote the Muju~Seolcheon road expansion project.
This is to smoothly carry out land compensation, considered the first hurdle for project promotion, and to ensure stable progress.
The "Muju~Seolcheon Road Expansion Project" is a national highway No. 30 facility improvement project passing through Muju-eup to Seolcheon-myeon. Due to the constant risk of traffic accidents and poor road alignment, traffic accidents have frequently occurred.
Recently, it gained momentum as it was reflected in the "4th National Road and Local Road Construction Plan."
The Muju~Seolcheon road expansion project is a project implemented by the Iksan Regional Land Management Office with a budget of 156.2 billion KRW, aiming for completion in 2027.
The project includes a total length of L=11.04 km (B=11.5 m), 12 bridges (L=1,445 m), 1 tunnel (L=579 m), and 7 intersections (4 at-grade, 3 roundabouts).
According to the county, the land subject to compensation includes 944 parcels totaling 331,678㎡. They recruited members for the compensation council through compensation plans and announcements, and plan to actively promote compensation negotiations with residents in the first half of 2022.
The Land Compensation Council will actively discuss preliminary opinion gathering for compensation amount evaluation and establishment of relocation measures for the land included in the project.
