Chungnam Resumes Operation of 'Visiting Driver's License Test Center'
[Asia Economy (Hongseong) Reporter Jeong Il-woong] Chungnam Province will resume the quarterly operation of the mobile driver's license testing center. The mobile driver's license testing center had been temporarily suspended due to the spread of COVID-19.
On the 22nd, the province announced that, together with the Road Traffic Authority Yesan Driver's License Testing Center, it will operate the 4th quarter mobile driver's license testing center at the provincial government civil service office from 1 PM to 4 PM on the 1st of next month.
Driver's licenses applied for on the day of operation can be received the next afternoon, shortening the period to receive the license by 5 to 6 days compared to applying at local police stations.
In particular, the mobile driver's license testing center allows applicants to receive their licenses by mail through prior application.
The available driver's license services include ▲ aptitude test (Class 1 regular, Class 2 regular for those aged 70 and above) ▲ renewal (Class 2 regular) ▲ reissuance ▲ 7-year accident-free (Class 1 regular change) ▲ international driver's license issuance, totaling five types, and all licenses can be issued in English.
Application fees can only be paid in cash, and if a power of attorney is attached, the proxy must visit with their ID to apply on behalf of the applicant.
