[Asia Economy Reporter Jongil Park] Songpa-gu (Mayor Park Seong-su) announced on the 21st that it will hold the ‘Songpa Companion Animal ON World Pet Festival’ in an ontact format until December 14.
The ‘Songpa Companion Animal ON World Pet Festival’ is an online festival where companion animals, their owners, and non-owners understand each other through various experiences and education.
The district explained that although the special situation of COVID-19 was the trigger, it actively reflected the residents’ desire for a companion culture festival that anyone can freely participate in, rather than a one-time event.
The festival can be participated in anytime and anywhere through the district’s independent new online platform.
The main programs include ▲Companion Animal Petiquette Slogan Acrostic Challenge ▲Companion Animal Talent Contest ▲Companion Animal Online Class ▲Creating a Songpa-gu Companion Animal Culture Map, etc.
The ‘Petiquette Slogan Acrostic’ and ‘Songpa DOG&CAT Talent Contest’ provide prizes after participation through the platform followed by voting and judging.
The ‘Companion Animal Online Class’ offers a chance for 100 graduates, selected by lottery, to receive companion product kits such as leashes and ID tags, which they can use to experience making items by following the instructional videos.
In addition, participants create the ‘Songpa-gu Companion Animal Culture Map’ together to share useful information and places for raising companion animals, and during the festival period, they can receive discounts at companion animal hotels, hospitals, grooming salons, and pet supply shops.
The district also recommended practicing the training methods learned in the online class at the newly established ‘Songpa Companion Dog Playground’ in Tancheon Retention Basin.
The ‘Songpa Companion Animal ON World Pet Festival’ platform will continue to operate even after the festival ends, serving as a communication channel for companion animal owners.
