Ministry of SMEs and Startups Hosts '2021 Local Creator Festa'
[Asia Economy Reporter Junhyung Lee] The Ministry of SMEs and Startups announced on the 21st that it will hold the '2021 Local Creator Festa' both online and offline from the 24th to the 27th of this month.
This event was organized to share the outstanding achievements of the 'Regional Value Entrepreneurs' selected this year. Earlier, the Ministry selected 250 teams of 'Regional Value Entrepreneurs (Local Creators)' who create business value based on the natural and cultural characteristics of their regions. To promote exchange and idea convergence among regional value entrepreneurs, 18 projects were selected for the newly established collaboration support this year.
The Ministry will hold events such as talk concerts, lectures, and experience programs in six regions including the Seoul metropolitan area, Yeongnam region, and Chungcheong region. Additionally, plaques will be awarded to six teams recognized as 'Local Creators of the Year,' outstanding startup companies.

Noh Yong-seok, Director of Startup Promotion Policy at the Ministry, said, "Regional value entrepreneurs are innovative agents leading the virtuous cycle of the regional economy," adding, "We plan to continue discovering and nurturing regional value entrepreneurs to create an innovation startup ecosystem based on local foundations."
