Samil Accounting Corporation Volunteers with Yongsan Dragons on Child Abuse Prevention Day
[Asia Economy Reporter Park Jihwan] Samil Accounting Corporation, Amorepacific, Orion Foundation, Korail Networks, CJ CGV, HDC Shilla Duty Free, HDC Hyundai Development Company, Yongsan-gu Volunteer Center, and other public-private-academic alliance groups based in Yongsan, collectively known as the ‘Yongsan Dragons,’ announced on the 19th that they have created the ‘Hoyatoto Kit’ for children, one day ahead of World Day for Prevention of Child Abuse.
The kit, designed and story-crafted directly by employees of the Yongsan Dragons, will be fully delivered to the Child Rights Protection Agency and distributed to 79 shelters. The rabbit character ‘Hoyatoto,’ created to help alleviate anxiety experienced by abused children and provide a sense of stability, is produced and provided as an attachment doll and play kit.
Over 100 volunteers from the Yongsan Dragons, including employees of Samil Accounting Corporation, gathered at Yongsan Station Plaza on the 18th to complete unfinished cloth books and write messages on postcards, completing the Hoyatoto doll kits. The Yongsan Dragons plan to continuously focus on ‘child abuse’ and annually produce related kits to donate to Yongsan and other local communities.
A representative from Samil Accounting Corporation who participated in the event preparation stated, "Protecting children's human rights is an obligation that all members of society must fulfill, not just individuals and families," adding, "We hope that our attention and proactive actions will help create a sustainable society where children can grow up healthily."
