'Unusual COVID-19 Spread in Gwangju' 24 New Cases Confirmed in One Day
[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Yoon Jamin] In Gwangju, the number of confirmed cases with unclear infection routes is rapidly increasing.
According to Gwangju Metropolitan City on the 19th, 24 people were confirmed positive in one day, classified as numbers 5729 to 5752.
Among them, 10 were confirmed through symptomatic testing. Including those who were classified as contacts and tested positive through chain infections after these initial confirmations, the total rises to 14.
Additionally, one person was confirmed in relation to a large-scale workplace in Gwangsan District, one each related to elementary and middle schools in Gwangsan District, three related to existing contacts, and four related to confirmed cases from other cities and provinces.
The Gwangju City quarantine authorities are investigating the infection routes, movement paths, and additional contacts of the new confirmed cases.
