[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Jong-hwa] Choi Hyun-soo, CEO of the comprehensive paper manufacturing company Kkaekkeutan Nara, announced on the 19th that he participated in the 'Save Afghan Women' challenge to protect the human rights of Afghan women.
The Save Afghan Women challenge began in August, mainly on social media, to raise national awareness and attract international attention amid threats to the lives and human rights of women after the Taliban took control of Afghanistan.
CEO Choi participated in the challenge after being nominated by Kim Sun-hee, CEO of Maeil Dairies, and urged interest and support for the restoration of dignity for Afghan women through the message, "I hope a healthy world where Afghan women regain their dignity as soon as possible."
Kkaekkeutan Nara previously supported an emergency living facility located in Jincheon, Chungcheongbuk-do, with daily necessities and hygiene products sufficient for 390 people to use for two months, considering that special contributors and their families who fled the Taliban's threats and urgently entered Korea in August brought only minimal belongings.
