View original image[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Cheol-hyun] The Small and Medium Business Corporation (hereinafter referred to as SBC) announced that Chairman Kim Hak-do visited the site of Geumseong ENC (CEO Na Seong-beom), the second largest domestic supplier of urea solution, located in Banwol-Sihwa Industrial Complex, Ansan, Gyeonggi Province, on the 19th.
SBC recently provided emergency funds to Geumseong ENC to support the resolution of the domestic urea solution issue, and this visit was arranged as a follow-up measure to listen to the company's difficulties and suggestions.
The government recently held the 'Inter-ministerial Joint Response Meeting on Urea Solution Supply and Demand' as the reduction in supply of urea and urea solution from China has affected logistics, transportation, and various industries. It is actively promoting stabilization of urea solution supply through diversification of overseas supply chains, crackdowns on hoarding, and expansion of production by domestic urea solution manufacturers.
Geumseong ENC is also required to increase production according to government policy, but recently it has been impossible to secure quantities regardless of price. Therefore, production has been adjusted to about 10 to 15 tons, which is about one-tenth of the daily maximum production capacity of 150 tons, while efforts are being made to secure domestic and overseas urea suppliers.
Accordingly, SBC proactively deployed an on-site emergency support expert, the Ambulanceman, to Geumseong ENC and decided to provide 1 billion KRW in policy funds to secure raw materials, supporting the swift implementation of government policies to resolve the urea solution issue.

Chairman Kim said, "Basic materials, parts, and equipment industries such as urea solution are the foundation of the national economy, and SBC will actively participate in resolving the shortage of urea and urea solution supply."
