Providing a Platform for Overseas Technology Exchange and Cooperation to Chinese Bio Companies Aspiring to Enter China with KAIST GCC
[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Jong-hwa] A platform for cooperation to support domestic bio small and venture companies with excellent technology in pioneering the Chinese market will be established.
The Small and Medium Business Technology Information Promotion Agency (TIPA) announced on the 18th that it will jointly hold the Korea-China Bio Technology Commercialization Conference with the KAIST Global Commercialization Center (GCC) at the KAIST Daejeon Munji Campus Suprex Hall from 10 a.m. on the 23rd.
TIPA and GCC have closely collaborated with local related organizations such as the Ministry of Science and Technology of China and the Korea-China Industrial Technology Innovation Research Institute (ITIRI), which co-host the event, to prepare the conference. Taking this conference as an opportunity, they plan to continuously support network discovery and technology cooperation through Korea-China B2B technology exchanges in the future.
The conference will proceed in the order of △ keynote presentations on major national policies and corporate support policies in the Korea-China bio sector, △ in-depth expert discussions to promote Korea-China bio technology cooperation, and △ technology presentations by excellent bio companies from both countries.
In particular, in the company-specific technology presentation session, a total of 20 companies from both countries in major fields such as pharmaceuticals, medical devices, and diagnostic devices will participate to introduce their technologies and capabilities. After the event, specific discussions for mutual exchange and cooperation will be individually supported through online business meetings between pre-matched Korea-China companies.
TIPA and GCC will recruit fewer than 100 offline participants on a first-come, first-served basis until the 22nd in accordance with the With-Corona policy, and will strive to ensure a safe event by strictly adhering to quarantine procedures. The entire conference will be broadcast live online using Zoom, and detailed information can be found on the GCCW pre-registration page.
At the Korea-China Bio Conference held in July, a total of 17 companies from both countries participated, and since then, exchanges and cooperation plans for technology transfer have been discussed through GCC, receiving follow-up support aimed at producing concrete results.
