Bill Gates: "COVID-19 Death Rate Will Be Similar to Seasonal Flu by Mid-Next Year"
[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Suhwan] Bill Gates, the founder of Microsoft, predicted that by mid-next year, the number of COVID-19 deaths and infection rates will decrease to the level of seasonal influenza.
At Bloomberg's 'New Economy Forum' held in Singapore on the 18th, Gates stated, "The mortality and infection rates of (COVID-19) will drop significantly," and added, "If no severe variant virus emerges, COVID-19 will become similar to the seasonal flu virus."
He continued, "As supply chain issues are resolved next year, vaccination rates will also increase," and said, "Supply chain constraints will be alleviated from mid-next year."

Gates also added, "For the complete eradication of the flu virus and to prevent potential future viral pandemics, the international community must cooperate with each other."
