'Genre Only Romance' Starts at Box Office No.1 on Opening Day
[Asia Economy Reporter Lee Isul] The movie 'Just Romance' has started off as the number one at the box office.
According to the Korea Film Council's integrated ticketing system on the 18th, 'Just Romance' (director Jo Eunji), which was released on the 17th, attracted 42,808 viewers and took the top spot at the box office. It is the first Korean film to reach number one in 8 weeks.
'Just Romance,' the first full-length commercial film directed by actress Jo Eunji, depicts the variety-filled private life of a bestselling author whose work and life become tangled after meeting people involved in an unusual romance. Actors Ryu Seungryong, Kim Heewon, and Mujinseong star in the film.
The Marvel movie 'Eternals,' which had held the top spot since its release on the 3rd, drew 34,035 viewers and ranked second. Its cumulative audience reached 2,580,586.
Additionally, 'Dear Evan Hansen' and 'Demon Slayer: Natagumo Mountain Arc,' both released on the 17th, entered the rankings at third and sixth place, respectively.
