SEVEN is the third concept car of Hyundai's dedicated electric vehicle brand Ioniq. SEVEN, which will be released as the Ioniq 7 in the future, is a new type of SUEV (Sports Utility Electric Vehicle) model applying Hyundai Motor Group's dedicated electric vehicle platform, E-GMP.
Breaking Away from the Typical SUV Look with Aerodynamic Design and Pure Form Beauty
SEVEN is evaluated to have departed from the typical SUV appearance through a design optimized for aerodynamic efficiency.
Based on a dedicated electric vehicle platform, SEVEN features a unique proportion that can only be shown by SEVEN, with a single curve extending from the low hood front to the roof and a long wheelbase, revealing a strong presence.
Additionally, SEVEN incorporates a differentiated design by applying parametric pixel design, which symbolizes the identity of the Ioniq brand and connects analog and digital sensibilities, to the headlamps and rear lamps.

Lee Sang-yeop, Executive Vice President in charge of design at Hyundai Motor Company, said, “SEVEN is an SUEV design that shows the direction SUVs will take in the electrification era,” adding, “The aerodynamic design and the strong image unique to SUVs are well realized, and the interior space considerate of passengers will open a new horizon as a living space for families.”
Interior Reminiscent of a Premium Lounge... Embodying Technological Vision for the Autonomous Driving Era
The biggest feature of SEVEN’s interior is the enhanced habitability that allows passengers to freely utilize the space.
From entering the vehicle, SEVEN creates anticipation for a new interior space by applying a single door on the driver’s side and a pillarless coach door on the passenger side. The coach door means that the front and rear doors open sideways.
Inside SEVEN, the streamlined roofline, 3.2m long wheelbase, and flat floor extending to the third row create a spacious environment, offering an experience similar to a premium lounge.

Two swiveling lounge chairs capable of 180-degree rotation and forward/backward movement, along with one lounge bench seat, allow flexible seat arrangements depending on driving mode or autonomous driving mode.
SEVEN uses eco-friendly and hygienic materials inside the vehicle and is equipped with a hygienic air circulation system and UVC sterilization mode to help customers drive safely and healthily.
The interior surfaces use mineral finishes without chemical additives, and sustainable and hygienic materials are applied throughout the vehicle, such as fibers with sterilization functions on the seats and bamboo material with antibacterial properties on the carpets.
Implementing Excellent Charging System and Driving Performance Leading the Electric Vehicle Era
Hyundai applied a rapid charging system to SEVEN to improve charging efficiency. SEVEN can charge from 10% to 80% of battery capacity within 20 minutes using a 350kW ultra-fast charger.
It also aims to achieve a driving range of over 482 km on a single charge, expected to eliminate range anxiety.
Furthermore, the vehicle is equipped with V2L (Vehicle to Load) functionality, which supplies general power externally, allowing unrestricted use of home appliances and electronic devices in various external environments.
