Wando Youth Equestrian Team Wins Awards at National Equestrian Competition

According to the county on the 17th, this competition was expanded to a national event last year to allow young equestrian hopefuls from across the country to showcase their skills. The 6th competition was held from the 12th to the 13th at the Jeju Seogwipo Industrial Science High School training riding ground.
The Wando-gun youth equestrian team participated in a total of five events, including obstacle courses (40, 60, 80 cm) and relay (team event). In the 40 cm obstacle category, student Ji Da-han from Wando Middle School placed 4th, and student Na Han-sol from Gunoe Middle School placed 5th, receiving encouragement awards.
The equestrian team has been achieving good results since the founding of the Wando Equestrian Club in August 2017, having participated in six competitions so far.
The county supports young equestrian hopefuls by covering education fees, competition participation costs, and horse management expenses, currently nurturing 12 promising talents.
A county official stated, “We plan to continue supporting the youth equestrian team members so they can realize their dreams of becoming equestrian athletes.”
