This signifies a commitment to no longer create a 'second Jo Guk’s children.'
On the 16th, Candidate Ahn held a press conference in the virtual space called 'Polyverse Camp' and announced his first set of youth policy pledges.
The foremost pledge was the abolition of early admissions. He plans to fully switch university admissions to the regular admission system, which evaluates students based on the College Scholastic Ability Test (CSAT) and school records. Candidate Ahn emphasized, "To ensure fair university admissions, we will abolish early admissions and change the regular admission system to 80% general admissions and 20% special admissions." He added, "For general admissions, we will reform the system to apply two methods equally: one based on 100% CSAT scores and the other reflecting 50% CSAT and 50% school records."
Additionally, to guarantee opportunities for examinees, the CSAT will be administered twice a year, in July and October, with the better score being considered.
The evaluation of school records and the special admissions process will be transparently disclosed to exclude cheating and privileges. If falsification of school records or credentials is detected, the student’s parents and related parties will be criminally prosecuted for obstructing business and forgery of private documents, which undermine a fair society. The student’s admission will be canceled, or if already graduated, the graduation will be revoked and the student expelled. Candidate Ahn explained, "From now on, there will be no second Jo Guk’s children in the Republic of Korea."

Apart from special admissions for vulnerable groups such as socially disadvantaged and rural students, special admissions for children of democracy movement veterans will be thoroughly reviewed and abolished.
Medical professional graduate schools will also be abolished. Candidate Ahn stated, "Medicine deals with human life and requires high expertise and a sense of mission. Therefore, medical personnel must be selected and trained strictly based on merit." He added, "In the field of medicine, which handles human life, the status or information power of parents must not influence even a tiny bit."
To promote social mobility, he plans to grant the qualification to take the bar exam to those who pass a qualification exam even if they do not graduate from law school. This means achieving the same effect as reviving the judicial examination. Candidate Ahn emphasized, "We will restore a society where crayfish, crucian carp, and frogs from small streams can become dragons, a society where anyone can rise from humble beginnings."
