[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Choi Soon-kyung] The 'Duryu Ecological Trail,' where visitors can enjoy the refreshing energy of Jungsan Valley while overlooking Cheonwangbong Peak of Jirisan, has been completed.
On the 16th, Sancheong-gun, Gyeongnam announced that it has established the 'Duryu Ecological Trail' along a 1.2 km section following Jungsan Valley, starting from the entrance of Jungsan Village in Sicheon-myeon, Jungsan-ri.
The county invested 1.2 billion KRW in the Duryu Ecological Trail construction project, which began in October 2020 and was completed in July 2021.
Currently, only the section constructed by the county has been completed and opened for exploration. In the future, Jirisan National Park plans to install an additional 1.2 km ecological trail to provide easier access to Jirisan.
The name 'Duryu Ecological Trail' was inspired by one of Jirisan's alternative names, Duryusan. Visitors can walk while appreciating the clear air, fresh forest, and the Jungsan-ri valley right beside the trail.
In particular, this trail allows visitors to feel the presence of Cheonwangbong Peak up close, even without climbing Jirisan.
Currently, in Sancheong-gun, many visitors come to the 'Daewonsa Valley Trail,' an ecological trail established around Daewonsa Temple located in Samjang-myeon.
