Somagen Launches New Home Wellness Test Brand 'Kean Health'
[Asia Economy Reporter Hyunseok Yoo] Somagen announced on the 16th that it has officially launched a new home wellness testing brand called 'Kean Health' across the United States.
The Kean Health service consists of three products: Gene, a genomic analysis product; Gut, a gut microbiome analysis product; and Gut+, a premium gut microbiome analysis product. Through the tests, consumers can obtain various results on 146 health-related items they need, including nutrients, exercise, skin, hair, eating habits, personal traits (immunity, alcohol flushing, nicotine dependence, etc.), and health management (obesity, blood sugar, blood pressure, etc.).
Ryan Kim, CEO of Somagen, said, “Somagen formed a specialized task force team (TFT) by recruiting numerous experts with proven achievements in gene analysis services and commercialization of DTC genomic analysis products. After months of dedicated work optimizing product development, design, content, and report creation tailored to American consumers, we were finally able to launch the Kean Health service.”
He introduced, “Kean Health is based on the excellent genomic analysis technology and know-how Somagen has accumulated over the past 17 years in the U.S. market, offering higher accuracy and resolution compared to other U.S. competitors such as 23andMe and Viome. It provides more comprehensive and detailed health information and is priced about 10-20% more competitively than competing products.”
