120 Dasan Call Foundation Deploys 29 COVID-19 Dedicated Counselors On Site
Providing Employment Opportunities for Middle-aged and Career-interrupted Women and Forming a Counseling Workforce Pool
[Asia Economy Reporter Lim Cheol-young] The Seoul Metropolitan Government's 120 Dasan Call Foundation announced on the 16th that it appointed 29 final successful candidates of the '2021 3rd Employee Recruitment' on the 10th to create jobs and alleviate consultation delays for Seoul citizens.
The 120 Foundation plans to deploy the selected personnel on-site to ease the heavy workload of field staff caused by the prolonged COVID-19 pandemic, minimize citizen inconvenience due to call abandonment and connection delays, and allocate staff during high-demand hours from 9 AM to 12 PM and 1 PM to 6 PM.
The 29 individuals will work as COVID-19 dedicated counselors, be deployed for on-site consultations starting November 15, and be provided opportunities to gain work experience.
The 120 Foundation conducted this recruitment to actively contribute to job creation policies. Among the final successful candidates, 14 (48%) were middle-aged, 10 (34%) were women with career interruptions, and 2 (7%) were youth. The gender composition was 8 males (28%) and 21 females (72%), with females making up the majority overall.
