China says "frank and ample exchange of views on mutual interests" at US-China summit
[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Bo-kyung] China stated at the summit that it will "frankly and fully exchange views on strategic issues related to the future of China-US relations and important issues of common concern to both countries."
Zhao Lijian, spokesperson for the Chinese Ministry of Foreign Affairs, responded this way on the 15th during a regular briefing when asked to provide details about the summit between President Xi Jinping and US President Joe Biden.
Spokesperson Zhao said, "The peoples of both countries and the international community hope that this meeting will produce results favorable to both countries and the world."
He added, "We hope the United States will strengthen dialogue and cooperation with China, effectively manage differences, and handle sensitive issues well," and "walk the path of mutual respect and peaceful coexistence, so that China-US relations return to a track of healthy and stable development."
