View original image[Asia Economy Reporter Hwang Sumi] A driver who collided with a car driving with one hand while holding a beverage at an intersection without traffic signals sought advice on the fault ratio. Netizens pointed out that both drivers were at fault.
According to the YouTube channel 'Han Moon-cheol TV' on the 12th, an accident occurred around 8 a.m. on the 4th at an intersection without traffic signals in Donghae City, Gangwon Province.
The dashcam footage of the incident showed a white vehicle going straight colliding with a car coming from the right side.
As the two vehicles collided, the dashcam owner who was driving normally was also affected.
The driver of the white vehicle explained, "The road I was driving on was wide, but the direction the other car was heading had no center line and was relatively narrow."
He then asked lawyer Han Moon-cheol, "They are suggesting a fault ratio of 7:3. What do you think?"
In response, the lawyer said, "If it's 7:3, you should accept it." He added, "At intersections without traffic signals, first, you must slow down, and second, you must stop temporarily if you cannot check left and right."
He also pointed out, "The driver of the white vehicle did not slow down and stop to check left and right but just went straight in," and said, "7:3 does not seem bad."

Netizens who watched the video commented, "Both drivers look the same," "I learned this is called 'one stone, two birds' (Ilta Ssangpi)," "The dashcam owner must be the most unfairly treated," and "It seems neither of them thought about reducing speed, so arguing about fault is ridiculous."
