Geochang-gun Activates Emergency Task Force Team for Stable Urea Water Supply

View original image[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Choi Soon-kyung] Geochang-gun, Gyeongnam Province recently formed an emergency response TF team to stabilize the supply of urea solution, which is currently experiencing a shortage, and to respond to emergencies. On the 12th, an urgent emergency response meeting was held at the Vice-Governor's office.
The TF team, led by Vice-Governor Choi Young-ho, is composed of six departments including the Environment Division as the Planning and Operations Unit, the Economic Transportation Division, and the Construction Division. The team plans to monitor supply trends and devise countermeasures going forward.
At the meeting, they discussed the current stock and supply trends of urea solution for vehicles closely related to daily life, such as commercial transport vehicles, construction equipment, agricultural machinery, and ambulances, as well as anticipated issues and plans to secure urea solution.
The TF team plans to hold meetings regularly until the supply of urea solution stabilizes to check the response status by sector. It was identified that Geochang-gun’s commercial transport vehicles using urea solution include 98 buses and 382 trucks.

Vice-Governor Choi stated, “Since the central and provincial governments are also working on countermeasures, we will actively implement government policies such as cracking down on unfair trade practices and will consider and execute response plans at the county level.”
