Suncheon-si, Riverside Overpass Maintenance... Traffic Control on the 20th
[Suncheon=Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Lee Hyung-kwon] Suncheon City, Jeollanam-do (Mayor Heo Seok) announced on the 10th that it will completely block vehicle traffic on the Riverside Overpass on the 20th for cleaning and maintenance of road facilities.
To minimize inconvenience to citizens, the city will fully restrict vehicle traffic on the 700m section of the Riverside Overpass, a two-lane road, from midnight to 6 a.m. on the 20th, and will deploy traffic controllers to guide vehicles to detours during nighttime and early morning hours.
Vehicles entering from the National Garden toward West Suncheon should enter the road on the right side of the bridge, pass Pungdeok Bridge, and make a U-turn. Vehicles traveling from West Suncheon toward the National Garden should enter the road on the right side of the bridge and detour toward the terminal.
This maintenance work will include reinforcing road facilities by removing shoulder soil, weeds, and household waste, as well as replacing lane delineators.
The city plans to install traffic control notice banners along major roads in advance to allow for detours and prevent traffic congestion.

A city official stated, “Although road traffic restrictions are unavoidable to prevent safety accidents for citizens, since the work will be conducted during low-traffic early morning hours, the traffic burden is expected to be minimal. We will continue to maintain aging road traffic facilities for the safety of Suncheon citizens.”
