Since March of this year, the university has been conducting a ‘Port and International Logistics Company Customized Practical Training (Doing-Matching Program)’ for 28 exchange students majoring in International Logistics at Vietnam University of Transport, together with domestic students.
The training consists of △special lectures by industry experts △career development outside regular classes (CUP·Career Upgrade Program) △internship programs △company visits and job training.
Professor Shin Seokhyun of Dongmyung University’s Department of Port Logistics Systems said, “If international students consistently accumulate experience through such industry-academia cooperation internships, companies will hire foreign graduates trained in logistics services within the next 2 to 3 years.”
Bao Khan, a Vietnamese participant in the program, said, “It was very helpful to learn practical logistics skills during the training. After completing my studies, I am considering working at a logistics company in Busan or at a Korean logistics company in Vietnam.”
