Yugisang, Gochang County Governor, Goes All Out to Secure National Budget for Next Year
[Gochang=Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters, Reporter Kim Jae-gil] Yoo Ki-sang, the governor of Gochang County, Jeonbuk, has put all his efforts into securing the national budget for next year.
On the 9th, according to the county, Governor Yoo visited the National Assembly and held meetings with members of the Budget and Accounts Committee, urging active cooperation to secure national funds for major county projects and to resolve local issues.
On this day, Governor Yoo actively explained the necessity of budget allocation for key projects and requested cooperation from Budget and Accounts Committee Chairman Lee Jong-bae, Budget and Accounts Committee Secretary Maeng Seong-gyu, Budget Adjustment Subcommittee member Shin Young-dae, as well as committee members Lee Won-taek and Jung Woon-cheon.
In particular, he focused on requesting the inclusion of key secured projects such as ▲ Noeul and Ecological Mudflat Platform Construction Project ▲ Myeongsasipri District Coastal Maintenance Project ▲ Heungdeok and Buan Public Sewage Treatment Plant Expansion Project ▲ K-Balsamic Vinegar Cluster Construction Project.
He also requested active support from Assemblyman Yoon Joon-byung, a member of the Environment and Labor Committee, for projects under the committee’s jurisdiction, including the Heungdeok and Buan Public Sewage Treatment Plant Expansion Project.
He visited Assemblymen Kim Soo-heung and Ahn Kyu-baek to request comprehensive support for Gochang County’s local issues and national budget projects.
The county plans to frequently visit the National Assembly until the budget is passed on the 2nd of next month, concentrating administrative efforts until the national budget for next year is finalized.
Governor Yoo Ki-sang said, “In line with the National Assembly’s review schedule for next year’s budget, I have sufficiently explained the necessity of national funding for local projects and reached a consensus. We will not relax our vigilance until the end and will focus the county’s capabilities to secure as much national funding as possible.”
