According to the county on the 8th, the ceremony was attended by about 70 people including Lim Chae-jung, President of the Korea Baduk Association, Vice President Yoon Seung-yong, Secretary General Yang Jae-ho, Go Champion Lee Chang-ho, Senior Vice Chairman Choi Jong-jun of the Korea Baduk Association, and Lee Kwang-soon, President of the Women's Baduk Federation. The event proceeded with the screening of a video related to the commemoration of Korean Baduk, commendation of contributors, and a memorial video for the late Go Champion Kim In.
The county received the Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism Commendation in recognition of its years of dedication to the development of Baduk, including participation in the Senior Baduk League, hosting the Guksu Sanmaek International Baduk Tournament, and operating the Cho Hunhyun Baduk Memorial Hall.

Meanwhile, Baduk Day was designated as November 5 every year according to Article 7 of the "Baduk Promotion Act," which was enacted on October 18, 2018, and was proposed by former lawmaker Cho Hunhyun, who is from Yeongam.
