[Asia Economy Reporter Hwang Sumi] Amid the ongoing urea solution shortage originating from China, owners of imported cars reportedly have relatively less concern.
On the 6th, JTBC Newsroom reported that owners of imported cars such as BMW and Mercedes-Benz can relatively easily obtain urea solution. This is because imported car manufacturers had secured urea solution supplies in advance.
According to the imported car industry, most companies have already secured the amount of urea solution needed for this year.
In fact, when JTBC reporters inquired at a BMW service center to obtain urea solution, the representative responded, "Only BMW is possible."
When asked if it was possible to purchase separately, they said, "Purchase is not allowed." The secured supply is sold only to customers of their own vehicles.
On the other hand, the Kia Motors service center replied that they have no stock and cannot even inject urea solution into vehicles at the maintenance center. Hyundai Motor Company is in a similar situation.
