"Mother Developed Tongue Paralysis After Pfizer Vaccination... Became Speech-Impaired" Petition Raised at Cheong
A petition complaining of adverse reactions caused by the Pfizer vaccination has been posted.

[Asia Economy Reporter Seoyoung Kwon] A petition has been posted claiming that a mother who completed Pfizer's COVID-19 vaccination developed Guillain-Barr? syndrome.
On the 5th, a petition titled "My mom became speech-impaired after Pfizer vaccination" was posted on the Blue House National Petition Board. As of 10 a.m. on the 6th, about 700 people had agreed to the petition.
The petitioner began by saying, "After receiving the Pfizer COVID-19 vaccine, my mother's life and art collapsed," and added, "My mother, who is a writer working with language, has been left in complete darkness." They continued, "Her tongue became paralyzed causing a speech disorder, making daily life impossible, and she developed dysphagia, so she cannot eat properly," and wrote, "She drinks porridge or beverages for cancer patients and receives IV fluids at a local clinic, fighting the illness alone through long-lasting pain."
The petitioner claimed, "After the first Pfizer dose, my mother was not feeling well, but as the time for the second dose approached, she somewhat recovered and received the second dose," and added, "However, after that, her condition rapidly worsened, her speech became slurred, and her symptoms deteriorated day by day." They also noted, "We suspected a brain disorder and underwent tests, but there was no abnormality in the brain."
Additionally, the petitioner stated, "While hospitalized for unknown reasons and undergoing detailed examinations, she was diagnosed with Guillain-Barr? syndrome." Guillain-Barr? syndrome is an acute paralytic disease caused by inflammation of the peripheral nerves. The petitioner said, "Considering the timing of the vaccination, the attending physician reported it as an adverse reaction to the vaccine to the public health center," but emphasized, "No guidance calls or messages came despite waiting, so I visited the health center and found that nothing had progressed after the report was filed."

The petitioner explained, "My mother's life has been completely ruined and she is hovering between life and death, but support for IV fluids and other treatments is not provided, and compensation is limited to partial coverage of hospital bills," and added, "Even though the doctor reported it, there are many documents to prove it, and no one contacted us first after the report." They also appealed, "My mother is enduring by paying hospital bills with all her money and my salary, but I don't know how much longer we can hold on," and concluded, "My mother’s and my lives have completely stopped."
